Josh Tise
Majoring in English, Minoring in Communication and Honors

Why be part of Scribendi?
“I wanted to be able to help artistic communities to grow and expand — literature and art magazines have been an essential part of the distribution of creative works for decades, and I think they still have a place in the modern world! They feel particularly democratic in a world where it can seem harder and harder to fit into a creative “market,” especially as a beginner. I think Scribendi is the type of magazine that is essential in nurturing and inspiring artists to push through this and find their audience!”

Gnome Apocalypse Team Attribute:
Intimidating among gnomes, will perform “‘Mad Max’ style car tricks to help out,” and is efficient at avoiding apocalypse-induced love triangles.

Ally Wiesel
Majoring in Biology, Minoring in Chemistry and Honors

Why be part of Scribendi?
“I’ve always been interested in graphic design and creative fiction. Throughout High School, I participated in literature magazines (somewhat similar to this one) and writing/poetry competitions and such. When my honors professor recommended that I join, I figured, why not? Honestly, I didn’t think I’d get in, but I’m really glad I did and am very excited to be a part of something as incredible as Scribendi!”

Gnome Apocalypse Team Attribute:
Trained occult detective, can pick locks, and can make an impressive 6-ingredient gnome torte.
