WRHC Liaisons

In past years, the Scribendi staff has worked hard to elevate the magazine to a professional level, as well as to bring it to the public’s attention nationally and locally. The Scribendi staff alone cannot reach each of the students in the WRHC region; we need help from faculty liaisons to bring information about Scribendi to different school populations, so that Scribendi can represent as many WRHC schools as possible.

Scribendi needs faculty liaisons to promote the publication and to encourage students in their schools to submit works. This includes, but is not limited to: being in communication with the Scribendi staff before the submission date, posting flyers and sending emails advertising the submission deadline in your honors program, and answering questions from students. The time commitment for this task is minimal, but your students would benefit greatly.

Please consider being the bridge between Scribendi and your school. You will be not only making a great difference to us, but you will be helping your honors students find a venue for their work. If you are interested in serving as a liaison, please contact us. Or, if you personally are not interested, please think of a colleague to whom you could refer us so that your school can be represented. For the 2006-2007 academic year, Scribendi received 321 submissions from only thirty schools out of the 220 WRHC Honors programs or colleges. We would like to at least double the number of schools from which we receive submissions this year, and we will need your help to do it.
