Eligibility for Scribendi

Only undergraduate students currently enrolled in an accredited Honors program or college in the Western Regional Honors Council area are eligible to submit work and cover designs to be considered for publication in Scribendi. An Honors program is not the same as an Honors society (i.e. Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key). Honors programs require you to take actual Honors classes at your university. If you are not sure if you are part of an Honors program, please contact us, or the program director at your school.

In addition to being eligible to be considered for publication in Scribendi, all undergraduate honors students submitting work to Scribendi, who are enrolled in an Honors program or college in the 13-state Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC) region, are also eligible to be considered for the WRHC Awards. These awards are made in the categories of Short Fiction, Essays/Creative Non-Fiction, Poetry, Visual Art, Photography, and Digital Art. Each year, a committee of WRHC faculty judges award a $250.00 prize to one work published in Scribendi in each of these categories.
